Bells Line of Road corridor improvement program
The NSW Government delivered $48 million of work to
improve road safety and traffic efficiency on Bells Line of
Road between Lithgow and Kurrajong Heights. These
improvements to this corridor include more overtaking lanes
and wider sealed shoulders.
Warragamba Dam Upgrade
Construction, at an estimated cost of about $690 million.
Stage 1 and Stage 2 of The Northern Road upgrade
The Australian and NSW governments have committed $3.6
billion for the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan to support
development of the South West Growth Centre and the
future airport at Badgerys Creek.
Stage 1 of The Northern Road upgrade
Is 3.3 kilometer’s, from The Old Northern Road, Narellan to
Peter Brock drive,Oran Park.
Stage 2 Northern Road of The Northern Road upgrade
Is 15.6km project between Peter Brock Drive and Mersey
Road.
M4 Smart Motorway Project ITS – Stage 1
The NSW Government is investing $470 million to build the
M4 Smart Motorway project. This project will introduce
intelligent technology to the M4 Motorway between Pitt
Street, Mays Hill and Russell Street Lapstone.
Stage 1 of the M4 Smart Motorway project between Mamre
Road, St Marys and Reservoir Road, Easter Creek.
Macquarie Street Mall, Liverpool
The $10.6 million upgrade included repaving the entire
mall, planting new trees, installing new street furniture,
overhead lighting, a big-screen TV, a new children’s
playground and a water-play area.
Crown Street Mall, Wollongong
Over $300 million worth of development and construction is already
underway and will see the Crown Street Mall project completed over
two years, beginning with the upper western
half of the mall.
Argyle St, Camden
The $2.3 million project between Oxley Street and Murray Street to
continue the completed design theme between Oxley Street and Hill
Street and Elizabeth Street and Edward Street.
The works include widening and construction of new footpaths,
installation of new street furniture, landscaping of the Murray Street
roundabout, additional trees and garden beds, installation of new
street lighting and improved drainage
Bigge St and Hume Hwy, Warwick Farm
The NSW Government funded this $9 million project as part of its
$225 million Pinch Point Program which aims to reduce traffic
delays, manage congestion and improve travel times
on Sydney’s major roads, particularly during weekday peak period.
The work involved adding an extra lane on both Bigge Street and the
Hume Highway to allow additional turning movements and to reduce
delays. Widening the western side of Bigge Street to provide an
additional northbound lane to create. Two dedicated right turn lanes
into the Hume Highway for eastbound vehicles. A dedicated left turn
lane onto the
Hume Highway for westbound vehicles.
Werrington Arterial Road - complete
Roads and Maritime Services has built the Werrington Arterial Road
as part of the Australian and NSW governments’ Western Sydney
Infrastructure Plan, which will deliver $3.6 billion in
road infrastructure improvements over the next 10 years.
Kent Road and Gipps Street, Claremont Meadows was upgraded to
form the new Werrington Arterial Road. The Australian and NSW
governments have provided $55 million
to build this improved road infrastructure.
This upgrade will create a new link between the Great Western
Highway and the M4 Motorway, increase capacity and improve travel
times
Glenfield Road upgrade, Glenfield
Roads and Maritime Services has completed this
$4.8 million project between Campbelltown
Road and Brampton Avenue as part of the NSW
Government’s $246 million Pinch Point Program.
